Dr. Birdsong started her Practice of Psychiatry in Wilmington in September 2004, after relocating from Seattle, where she practiced Adult Psychiatry at the University of Washington.

Dr. Birdsong focuses on forming good relationships with her patients and working with them to find appropriate treatments, overcoming barriers to seeking help while striving to be as accessible as possible. Dr. Birdsong has collaborative relationships with therapists and other health professionals and refers patients when appropriate. She and her experienced, professional staff maintain full confidentiality of services (compliant with HIPAA policies), while providing excellent service.

Independence of Practice

While Dr. Birdsong's practice is located in the same office as other mental health practitioners, she is completely independent in providing clinical services.  She does not supervise or control any other practitioner's services and is not responsible for any other practitioner's actions.  All clinical and billing records are filed and maintained separtately from those of other practitioners.
